This design is a marriage of two iconic Irish symbols - the Claddagh Ring and the Sheela Na Gig, designed by Clisare and provided in collaboration with Cloud Factory.

A sheela na gig is a figurative carving of a naked woman displaying an exaggerated vulva, believed to be an ancient symbol of fertility and feminine power, whereas the Claddagh is a well-known ring design, symbolising friendship, loyalty and love. 

In this ring, the Sheela's vulva is replaced by the love heart of the Claddagh, and in place of the Claddagh's crown is the Sheela head. Sheela's legs are weaved through a Celtic Sailor Knot on the side of the ring. 

This hypoallergenic, nickel-free ring is made in the EU using 3D printing techniques on 100% recycled sterling silver. Together with its eco-friendly packaging, it has an 80% lower carbon footprint than traditional jewellery making.
