What I Made This Week: Irish People TRY Hot Sauces, Beer Cocktails and 33rd Birthdays!

Happy Sunday! Here’s a summary of what I’ve made this week across a number of different platforms – all in one handy place!

On My YouTube Channel:

CoronaVLOG: Birthday Vlog!

I turned 33 for the first time in my second lockdown birthday in Ireland (😭) and Alex faked me out by pretending that he had returned something I knew he’d bought me. (rainbow runners!!) Also; I know, I don’t look 33 at all! 👀👀👀👀👀👀

Also on my YouTube this week, I reviewed some of the weird and wonderful subscription boxes I found on Cratejoy. My favourite one was the Christian one for succulent lovers… it’s not what I thought, anyway! 😂

On TikTok

This week, I had a bit of a quiet one on Tiktok, posting only a handful of videos! I did hit 500k likes on the platform though, so that was a pretty cool milestone!

First up this week, we tried beer cocktails this week on TRY. There was one beautiful one with Guinness, Kahlua and Jameson Cold Brew – SO good! 🙌🏻

We also tried Arizona Gunslinger Hot Sauces, one of my favourite shoots ever. Up there in the top 10, if not the top 5! Note to self, however, that I must remember to actually talk and not just stuff my face when we’re eating something I like!

It was some week for me in TRY, making it into all 3 videos, and the final one was Irish People TRY Sour Patch Kids. I love sour, and did not find these sour at all, but Callyann doesn’t like sour and did not agree with me on that one! Was great to be paired with Callyann for the first time (excuse the pun).

On Instagram

This week on Instagram, I posted pics of me walking in the Dublin mountains, celebrated “Mayo Day” (a made up holiday if I ever heard one) 😂 and posted my final #fullkitchallenge. The “Full Kit Challenge” was something I made up at the start of lockdown to keep me busy, and over the last year I’ve shared all of my wild and wonderful tag and touch rugby kits with the hashtag. The final kit was my first County kit, from 2017 when I played for Galway. It was a great way to end it…. although I will hopefully be getting some new kit for touch rugby soon so miiiight have to share one more 👀

This week, I edited using Lightroom presets that I got from my collab with Nicky Presets. (below)

I also posted this Reel replying to popular Instaagrammer Teresa Caruso‘s videos. Teresa is known for the”Amazon gadgets you need” niche of Reels. She didn’t mind the joke, she even commented on it.

Podcast: Storytime With Clisare

This week, I had Ella Dawson on the podcast – a sex and culture writer who told her story of becoming internet famous for writing about having herpes. After going viral, she was attached by Info Wars, offered the opportunity to host a Ted Talk and became the internet’s auntie for herpes awareness. It’s an amazing story – check it out below. It’s also available on audio-only platforms – find the link of your choice here.

Last but not least, I flexed the old’ writing chops and wrote an article about a viral story in Ireland. You can read that here.

So that’s a quick summary of the video content I’ve put out there this week. Of course, I’ve also shared stuff on Instagram stories and tweeted a hape of nonsense on twitter. Find me on your preferred social media at http://clisare.rocks/follow
