The highlights of #Vidcon2015
Here are all the videos from Vidcon 2015. It was a brilliant experience and I am so delighted that I went. While it is very expensive to head to LA from Ireland in peak season (plus how expensive LA is) it was well worth the investment. I’ve made some lifelong friends and forged some really important business relationships which will help me and my channel to grow in the next few months.
I have to thank my Aussie YouTube family for making my time in LA so brilliant – I don’t know what I would have done without you! Martin, Bryan and Kat, thank you all for coming to dinner (and collabing, Kat!) – it was some gas.
I did loads of stuff in LA after Vidcon ended but that’s a blog post (and a series of vlogs) for another day!
Watch videos below!
Arriving in LA and trying my first ‘Smores’ Frappachino! (Airport Vlog)
Short vlog upon arrival including a ‘Smores’ Frap taste test.
Vidcon Pre-Party and taking my first Uber!
The pre-party was held by Epoxy in K1 Speed. I was delighted to meet Tim, the mystical Epoxy rep for CDS people. Love Tim!
Meeting Wheezy Waiter and winning an iPad!
I entered the #ImBlowingUp competition on Twitter and found out a couple of days ago that I won an iPad Air 2, which is winging it’s way to Ireland as I type! Whoop!!
Here’s the winning pic:
Meeting Mamrie Hart and the CDS VIP Creator Party
I met Mamrie and asked to buy her a drink, but as it was such early doors we agreed to wait a while. Of course, I waited too long and lost her so myself and the Aussie family made short work of the shots!
I met so many of my YouTube inspirations at the party, including Mamrie, Gigi Gorgeous, Rebecca Black, Anna Akana and Miles Jai.
I was so glad to spend time with my Aussie YouTube family and we had THE.BEST.CRAIC!
At the party, I got to meet and hang around with Alonzo, who is absolutely hilarious and so nice. We also learned the hard way that photobooths and alcohol don’t mix!!!
Dinner With the International YouTube family
I actually lost some of the footage from the convention centre this day, but we headed out to dinner with a combined YouTube family – my friends from Oz, Ireland and the US. It was the best craic and I, for one, laughed until I cried.
The day after Vidcon (Sunday) is unofficially Disney Day – you get a discount as a member of Vidcon and everyone takes a photo around 1pm. I lost everyone and my phone wasn’t working but thanks to a friendly face in a Vidcon tshirt I met a new friend and found my old ones. It was a brilliant day and Disneyland lived up to all my expectations!
Official Vidcon After Party at YouTube Space LA
We didn’t get to use the space (you have do a course a month in advance) but we at least got to see the space by heading to the official YouTube vidcon after party, where we really got involved in the Wild Western theme!
